Of all the island nations located in the Netherlands Antilles in the Caribbean, Curaçao is the largest when it comes to the area covered. It is also classified it be part of the Leeward Islands or the Benedenwindse Eilanden. Located not too far from the oil-rich Latin American nation of Venezuela, Curaçao is known for having some of the most enchanting harbors on the planet.
Willemstad is the largest settlement on the island and it also doubles as the capital city and the principal harbor.
